Carden Day School is excited to offer a summer camp starting on Monday, June 14th that will continue through the summer to the final week of Monday, August 27th. At Camp Carden, each week will offer a specific theme that will include art projects, special events, field trips and many activities.

  1. Soaring Superheroes (6/14-6/18)
  2. What do firefighters, Wonder Woman, and Spiderman have in common? Find out as we explore exciting characters of both fiction and reality. Appear as your favorite masked wonder and have a blast learning about real-life superheroes.

  3. Lego Lego Everywhere (6/21-6/25)
  4. Your creations are only limited by your imagination during this fun-filled week of building and cooperation. Team up with your friends to build the tallest tower, the craziest parade float, or a combination of the two!

  5. Tropical Rock (6/28-7/2)*
  6. Strap on your sandals for a tropical tour as we island hop learning and experiencing tropical music and sounds through various art projects and costume play. The island hoppers will also explore different aspects of island life and culture of the Pacific as we sail through the sound waves on a magical melody of fun.

  7. Farmville & the Wild Wild West (7/5-7/9)
  8. Campers will be introduced to fun on the farm and the lives of the many animals that live there. They will also dress-up and learn about life on a farm. After all, who can forget Old McDonald? Campers will also saddle up and follow the trails of the Wild West.

  9. Mad Science (7/12-7/16)
  10. Join us for days filled with fun and educational hands-on experiments. Crafts, performances, and creative writing will bring science to life and spark the imagination and curiosity. Campers will have a clear understanding of what science is really about and how it affects our world.

  11. Kings, Queens, and Dragons (7/19-7/23)
  12. Campers will learn what life was like during the Renaissance period. Crafts, creative writing, performances, and many more activities will help bring to life Kings, Queens and Dragons!

  13. Game On (7/26-7/30)
  14. Get your game face on! We will be throwing, kicking, hitting, and running, but in safe and appropriate ways! A week filled with skills, drills, and some great competition to have a ballin' good time! Campers will be awarded medals for their participation and sportsmanship.

  15. Creative Expressions (8/2-8/6)
  16. This week is focused on exposing Carden Campers to art. We will explore color, texture, technique, and different mediums to express ourselves through artistic endeavors.

  17. Carden Goes Camping (8/9-8/13)**
  18. Campers will experience what a camping trip will be like here on our very own campus. We will pitch tents, build three-dimensional fires and binoculars to use on a nature walk. Of course no camping trip is complete without s'mores to enjoy by the "campfire"!

  19. Lady Bugs and Creepy Crawlers (8/16-8/20)**
  20. A week full of everything crawling, creeping, buzzing, and fluttering awaits you! We will study all types of insects from the exotic azalea lace bug to our loveable ladybugs. We will explore the native and foreign types of insects through arts, crafts, outdoor exploration and science.

  21. Sand Castles and the Sea (8/23-8/27)
  22. Campers will enjoy a day out in the sand and sun with our beach week! We will participate in beach activities such as building sand castles, play beach volleyball, and even doing the limbo and hula. Campers will learn about the underwater creatures and even create their own aquariums! Relax and dig your toes in the sand with this exciting week!



**Academic Summer School (1st-8th grades). If your child is attending Academic Summer School, sign him/her up for only a half-day of camp.

Deposit:
A $50 non-refundable deposit is due with this form and applied to tuition. The balance is due on the first of the month that the camp is held.

Refunds:
After June 11, 2010, refunds are subject to a $50 fee. No adjustment of fees are made if a child is withdrawn or dismissed for conduct unbecoming or prejudicial to the discipline and/or good name of the school. No refunds will be made if a child does not show up for camp.

4-7 camp sessions 10% discount
8 or more camp sessions 20% discount
Sibling discount 10% discount
10% discount off of our summer programs if registered by April 30th!

Meals:
Snack- Please provide a daily snack for your child.
Lunch- Provided only on Friday (pizza or hot dog).

What do the campers need while at the camp?
Everyday the campers should wear appropriate camp clothing such as shorts, tee shirts, socks, and shoes (please no sandals). The campers should also provide an extra change of clothes (shorts, tee-shirt, underwear, and socks) stored in a large Ziploc bag labeled with the camper's name. This extra clothing will be stored at the site in case of a bathroom or water accident. Since many of our activities will take place outside, please sunscreen your child everyday before camp begins. Also, the campers will need to bring a snack and sack lunch everyday except Fridays. On Fridays, Camp Carden will be providing lunch for its campers; however, your child will still need to bring a snack.
