Letter from Notre Dame

From time to time we hear from the High Schools our former graduates are attending. Following is a letter that brought joy to all of us.

Dear Mrs. Tapos,

Notre Dame’s faculty and staff are pleased to share with you the names of the graduates of Carden Day School of San Jose who have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement during the first semester of the 2007— 2008 school year attaining an average of 3.20 or higher.

We are indeed proud, as we know you will be, of these students’ accomplishments. The excellent foundation received at Carden Day School of San Jose has served them well in their secondary education. We look forward to the continued success of these young women: Lauren Chin, Emily Fourie, Alisa Futriski, Laurin LaRocca, Angeles Oviedo.

Sincerely,

Mary Beth Riley   Janice Tupaj-Farthing

Outstanding Achievement

The first college admission news from our Carden Day School class of 2004 is in, and it is impressive! Daniel Fourie (brother to Ian in 6th grade and Emily, class of 2006 at Carden, currently 10th Grade at Notre Dame) was accepted to MIT! Anyone who knows Daniel will not be surprised at this outstanding achievement. Congratulations to the entire Fourie family and especially to Daniel, the scholar. You have made us all very, very proud!
